PD Andreas Lutterotti completed his training as a specialist in neurology at the Department of Neurology of the Medical University of Innsbruck. During his training, he went for a fellowship as a researcher at the Institute of Neuroimmunology and Clinical MS Research at the University of Hamburg. After working as a senior physician, he received an assistant professorship at the Medical University of Innsbruck and was appointed to an assistant professorship at the University of Zurich in 2014. During the time, he headed the neurological day clinic, the cerebrospinal fluid laboratory, and later the neuroimmunological outpatient clinic at the Neurology Clinic of the University Hospital Zurich. His clinical focus is on neuroimmunological disorders and multiple sclerosis. His research focus on experimental therapies led to the spin-out of the company Cellerys, which is developing a new therapy for MS and which he oversees in a leading role.
Since 2021, he has been a senior physician at the Neurozentrum Bellevue and the Clinic for Neurology Hirslanden. He is a member of the Swiss and European neurological societies.
