FAQ

What does the General Neurological Check-up look like?

1. Patient History: The doctor will discuss your medical and family history, any symptoms that may suggest neurological issues, and other relevant factors such as chronic diseases, medications taken, or existing risk factors.

2. Detailed Physical Examination: Assessment of your overall health, including vital signs.

3. Neurological Examination: This involves assessing your various neurological functions such as motor function, muscle strength, coordination, balance, sensation, speech ability, reflexes, and more.
The doctor may conduct both a general neurological examination as well as a detailed one, focusing on specific areas, depending on your needs.

4. Additional Tests: Depending on the results of the neurological examination, the doctor may recommend additional tests such as MRI or CT scans, Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electroneurography (ENMG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Doppler/Duplex of the brain vessels, blood tests, Movement Disorders Analysis or others.

5. Consultation and Recommendations: Based on the results of the neurological examination and any additional tests, the doctor will make a diagnosis, discuss the results with you, and propose a plan for further action. This plan may include pharmacological treatment, rehabilitation therapy, surgical interventions, or other necessary measures.

Of course, the specific course of the examination may vary depending on the individual needs of the patient and the diagnostic requirements.
