Philipp Valko
PD Dr. med. Philipp Valko is a specialist physician in neurology FMH and sleep medicine SGSSC.
After studying human medicine at the University of Zurich, PD Dr. med. Valko completed his training as a clinical neurologist in Zurich, Lugano and St. Petersburg. Before taking on his current position as medical director of the newly founded Center for Sleep and Stress Medicine at Hirslanden Clinic in January 2022, PD Dr. med. Valko spent more than 10 years working as a senior physician (most recently as a senior physician with extended responsibilities) at the Clinic for Neurology at University Hospital Zurich. In addition to his clinical activity, PD Dr. med. Valko has been active in science research. His scientific career included a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard University in Boston, USA. PD Dr. med. Valko is the author of numerous scientific articles in renowned journals in collaboration with various international partners. He completed his habilitation at the University of Zurich in 2015.
