The Clinical Trial Unit is the central study unit of the Bellevue Medical Group. It provides the structural framework for early-phase clinical trials in neurology within an existing medical care setting. It operates directly within the BMG network of neurocenters, Neurology Hirslanden, and specialized outpatient clinics. The unit supports all operational steps of early-phase clinical research (Phase I–II), including mechanistic studies and proof-of-concept programs. Key areas include multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunological disorders, migraine/headache, and neurovascular diseases. The objective is to align BMG’s clinical excellence with rigorous scientific standards in trial operations.

aHSCT-in-MS – Swiss Register for Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Multiple Sclerosis
- Documents the clinical course of patients treated with aHSCT. Aims for systematic evaluation of effectiveness, safety, and long-term outcomes under real-world Swiss conditions.
OCRCLAD – Safety and Efficacy of a Consolidation Therapy With Immune Reconstitution Therapy (Cladribine) in Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis Patients Following Treatment With Anti-CD20 Compounds (NCT06854094)
- Evaluates whether consolidation with cladribine after anti-CD20 therapy improves disease control and infection risk. Compares cladribine with continuation of anti-CD20 treatment.
COMETA – Clinical Observation of Multiple Sclerosis: Impact on Disease Course
- Assesses how clinical, laboratory, and imaging routine parameters, as well as therapy changes, influence long-term disease progression and treatment response.
FIDO – Fatigue Investigation Using Digital Outcomes
- Exploratory study assessing feasibility of long-term digital fatigue monitoring using wearables and app-based tasks. Evaluates compliance and technical feasibility for future MS and long-COVID monitoring strategies.
KOSMOS – Kesimpta® in Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Patients – An Observational Study (NCT05285904)
- Prospective real-world study on ofatumumab treatment in Switzerland. Compares effectiveness, safety, and adherence with controlled data from Phase IIIb trials.
SurfSubQ – A Prospective, Multicenter, Longitudinal Observational Study to Investigate Neurofilament Light Chain Levels and Patient Satisfaction After Subcutaneous Ocrelizumab Administration (NIS 781)
